Laurent Quin
The crossing

The immaculate is turned upside down.
I walk through snow-covered places and the night of the world advances.
The crossing becomes a mental space, a procession of ghostly reveries where the intensity of a coming pierces like lightning.
I become nerves.
Without a horizon, I become a point of discovery.

Laurent Quin

Since 2004, Laurent Quin has been exploring creative processes that tend towards haptics and doubling. Through a singular relationship with the plane and material qualities of the image, he qualifies painting or photography in a definition of the event where taking shape against the background of the world introduces the need for an aesthetic of non-completion.
